Privacy Policy - Klaxon App & Webapp

This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data of Klaxon App & Webapp users when using Klaxon App or Webapp and how your end device is accessed. After this point, we will refer to both Klaxon App and Klaxon Webapp as Klaxon App for simplicity.

The processing of personal data collected through this App is carried out by the following company:

Data Collection and Processing

1. Registration to Klaxon App

When you register for a Klaxon account as a user of our products, you must enter your first and last name, the country you are located in, and your email address. Your address and phone number can be stored optionally. Registration will not be completed unless both steps of the process are finalized.

Data entered during registration will be deleted if registration is not completed within two weeks. Registered data will not be transferred to third parties and is entirely handled by Klaxon.

Purposes:

Klaxon offers a registration function to securely provide functionalities, interact with Klaxon products, and reach users in the event of a recall. This allows the use of connected apps and services.

Legal Basis:

• Usage agreement concluded with you (Art. 6 Para. 1 b GDPR).
• Legitimate interests to prove registration (Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR).

Storage Period:

Data will be stored for two weeks initially, and deleted if registration is incomplete. Fully registered accounts will retain data until the account is deleted, subject to legal obligations (e.g., medical product certification data).

2. Use of the App with Connection to the Klaxon Account

To use the Klaxon App, registration for a free Klaxon account is required. Data processed in the app is transferred to Klaxon’s cloud storage. Your data may also be used for product development and improvement. Klaxon will never share your information with other companies.

3. Secure Provision of Klaxon App

When logging into connected applications or services via Klaxon, the web server collects temporary information to enable functionality. This includes:

• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Referrer URL
• Browser string
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Time of server request
• IP address

Purposes:

Klaxon’s interest is the secure and functional operation of the website.

Storage Period:

Data will be deleted after 14 days.

4. Session Cookies

Session cookies are used to provide functionalities, including the log-in option. These are deleted as soon as the browser window is closed.

5. Technical Cookies

Technical cookies are used for personalized functionalities of the Klaxon Webapp.

6. Additional Measures to Control Your Data

You have rights regarding your data:

• Request information on data categories, processing purposes, recipients, and storage periods.
• Request correction or completion of incorrect/incomplete data.
• Revoke granted consent at any time.
• Demand deletion of data under specific conditions.
• Request restriction of data processing in specific cases.
• Demand data portability in a common format (e.g., CSV).
• Object to data processing based on legitimate interest.

EU citizens or residents may also lodge complaints with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
